Falling In And Out Of Love

When I say I love you I do
But this with you will not do
I need someone I can lean on
Someone I can count on too

Yes you were there sometimes
For that I am grateful to you
But I need someone there full time
And that you can not do

You told me once you loved meThat I could believe in you
I was there when you needed someone
Where were you when I needed someone, too?

The time has come for me to let go
Never to expect you to care again
People may come and people may go
But my love will never end
Alone

Purity once had a name,
And beauty once had a face.
Life once had a meaning,
And once I was safe.
Once there was freedom,
And once I could laugh.
Happiness once was alive,
And once I had another half.
Once I shared his love,
Once I was by his side,
Once I felt I fitted,
So quickly that died.
His grace so great,
His beauty so vast,
All I ever wanted,
Was for it to last.
Fate maybe had another plan,
Or maybe he had another love,
But it all fell apart,
The hand too big for the glove.
Now it's all died away,
Happiness, joy, love; all memories.
Now I walk alone in this dark, dark world,
With no light to guide my way.

“There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will.” — Epictetus quotes
“You must love yourself before you love another. By accepting yourself and fully being what you are, your simple presence can make others happy.”

In the moment our eyes meet,

Blinded by a love so true.

A passionate kiss that holds,

A lifetime flame forever new.

An intimate time in the stars,

Nothing can break our spell.

Soul mates know our meaning,

Though others will never tell.

To hold here next to my heart,

A special picture of you and I.

Everyday together as perfect,

Until we have our place in the sky.

Which Are You?

By Ella Wheeler Wilcox

There are two kinds of people on earth to-day;
Just two kinds of people, no more, I say.

Not the sinner and saint, for it's well under stood,
The good are half bad, and the bad are half good.

Not the rich and the poor, for to rate a man's wealth,
You must first know the state of his conscience and health.

Not the humble and proud, for in life's little span,
Who puts on vain airs, is not counted a man.

Not the happy and sad, for the swift flying years
Bring each man his laughter and each man his tears.

No; the two kinds of people on earth I mean,
Are the people who lift, and the people who lean.

Wherever you go, you will find the earth's masses,
Are always divided in just these two classes.

And oddly enough, you will find too, I ween,
There's only one lifter to twenty who lean.

In which class are you? Are you easing the load,
Of overtaxed lifters, who toil down the road?

Or are you a leaner, who lets others share
Your portion of labor, and worry and care?
